Functions
The Anderson Fire Department is a community-minded organization, which provides the following services to the citizens of Anderson:

Technical Rescue Team
The Technical Rescue Team is prepared to answer calls any where in the area, as well as adjoining states, by agreement with the Anderson County Sheriff's Department Aviation Team, who provides a helicopter and crew for transport. The Technical Rescue Team is trained in:

Mission Statement
The mission of the Anderson City Fire Department is to reduce the frequency and severity of fires and hazardous materials incidents within the city limits and provide mutual aid to surrounding jurisdictions. Public fire safety education, fire code enforcement, and arson investigation are essential components of the department's mission. Providing for the occupational safety of personnel is of utmost importance. Personnel also provide technical rescue services and support the bomb squad operations of the City.
