Main Street Pond Restoration

North Main Street Regional Detention Pond
The North Main Street Regional Detention Pond is providing stormwater attenuation for 120 acres of urbanized area. A two acre pond was designed to reduce stormwater flows and improve water quality on Hembree Creek. The North Main Regional Detention Pond reduces natural storm flows by 16 percent. This will reduce sediment and pollutant transport downstream.
