Downtown will be aglow with thousands of lights and bustling with activities for all as the season kicks off with the 10th annual Holiday Walk and Tree Lighting, Friday, November 30. The Mayor's ceremonial lighting of the Christmas tree on the Square will begin at 6 p.m. Bring your shopping list, find some unique gifts, and satisfy your taste buds downtown. Santa Claus and costumed carolers will add to the evening's merriment.
Continue your shopping on Saturday, and round out the weekend with Sunday's Christmas Parade at 3 p.m. Floats, dance groups, and high school bands from Westside, Hanna, Pendleton, and Crescent will be among the 100 entries expected. The parade route begins on Main at Greenville Street. Remember, streets will be closed to traffic beginning at 2 p.m. Join the fun this weekend and all month long.
