Entrepreneurs play a vital role in Anderson’s economy and community. Through a variety of programs, workshops, and resources, the City of Anderson provides support designed to help business owners develop their skills, overcome challenges, and move their businesses forward with confidence.
The Brew is an entrepreneurial program that connects local business owners with the community through short business presentations and interactive feedback. Each session features a local entrepreneur who shares their business story, goals, and challenges, followed by audience-driven questions, discussion, and support. Designed to foster connection, collaboration, and practical insight, The Brew creates a welcoming space for entrepreneurs to gain fresh perspectives and move their ideas forward.
This event is free and open to the public. The Brew takes place the last Wednesday of every month from 8-9 am.

BYOB is a year-long program designed to support entrepreneurs as they build and grow their businesses. Through expert-led sessions, participants gain practical knowledge, skills, and resources to turn ideas into sustainable businesses.
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required because lunch is provided. BYOB takes place every third Thursday of the month from 12 – 1:30 pm.

Our office is conveniently located at the bottom of the West Whitner Street Park Garage. We recommend parking there! To find our office, you will exit the parking garage, take a right, and then another right at the corner. We are the first set of glass double doors on the right.
BYOB provides structured insight, instruction, and resources from local professionals to help businesses grow, while The Brew creates space for connection, conversation, and community among small business owners. The Brew allows small business owners to present their business to the community and receive feedback and advice as they grow.

Most events are free and open to the public, but BYOB requires registration because lunch is provided. Please be sure to register so that we know how many people to purchase lunch for. If registration is required for another event, it will be clearly indicated.
Past BYOB sessions have included topics such as Business Plan Writing, Small Business Bookkeeping, Branding, Marketing, Building Your Team, the Art of Selling, HR, and AI in the Workplace.
