Main Street Water Line Project

Project Overview

The City of Anderson will soon begin construction on the Main Street Water Line Replacement Project. The project serves to update and improve aging infrastructure to provide high quality water service in the downtown area.
 
The project consists of the installation of approximately 3,235 LF of waterline, re-connections to the existing water system, water service re-connections, the abandonment of existing distribution mains, and pavement replacement.Construction crews are expected to install approximately 200 LF of waterline per week.

Schedule

PHASE 1 March - June

Main Street: Tribble Street to Railroad Crossing

  • Week of 3/17: Construction Begins
  • Estimated Completion: 10 weeks
  • Businesses along the northern side of the railroad will be impacted.

PHASE 2 June - October

Main Street: From Railroad Crossing to Reed Street

  • Estimated Completion: 16 weeks
  • Businesses along the southern side of the railroad will be impacted.
