Fitness Memberships: We provide state-of-the-art cardio and strength training equipment to meet your fitness needs. In addition to a 1/10th-mile indoor track, we have two separate areas designated to cardio and strength equipment. Below is just a sample of what we have to offer; our facility has a variety of treadmills, elliptical/ascent trainers, stationary bikes, selectorized strength equipment, dumbbells, and weighted barbells.
Fitness Orientations: Want to get the most out of your workout? Have questions on the best way to utilize fitness equipment? Come to a fitness orientation to learn the basic functions of cardio and strength equipment! Hour-long group sessions meet in the Recreation Center lobby, at least once a week, or by appointment. Call or stop by for more information. Space is limited to 5 participants so be sure sign up!

Tai Ji: Also known as “moving meditation”, Tai Ji is a self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. Each posture flows into the next, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. This class is operated by an independent contractor for the City of Anderson Recreation Center. Please call the Recreation Center for contact information.
Swimming Lessons: The City of Anderson, in partnership with the Anderson Area YMCA, offers swim lessons to city residents. A city resident must register for these lessons at the City of Anderson Recreation Center to obtain the $45 city rate. If you reside outside the Anderson city limits you must register at the Anderson YMCA. Registration forms are available and payment will be made at the City of Anderson Recreation Center.
