Unified Development Ordinance
The City of Anderson has adopted an updated Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) to help guide future growth and development throughout the City.
The UDO establishes the rules and regulations that govern development and redevelopment in Anderson, including zoning, land use, site design, and other development standards. It is an important tool for putting the community’s vision for the City’s future into practice.
The UDO was updated to better align the City’s development regulations with the goals and recommendations established in the City of Anderson Comprehensive Plan, which reflects the community’s vision for how Anderson should grow and develop.
The UDO serves as a resource for residents, property owners, developers, business owners, design professionals, City staff, elected and appointed officials, and other community stakeholders who have questions about development regulations or are considering changes to property within the City.
