The primary mission of the Planning Department is to promote the orderly growth of the City by preparing studies, plans, and public information programs, and working to improve development projects. Street maps, zoning maps, and zoning books are available for purchase.

Planning Commission The City of Anderson Planning Commission consists of nine members with a representative from each ward and three citizens at-large. The Planning Commission fulfills its responsibilities to the governing body and community by making recommendations on planning, zoning and land development matters.
